Sectoral Workshops
From October 18, 2023, to November 7, 2023, sectoral workshops were held for 8 identified sectors. The governmentof Tamil Nadu’s 165 departments and 45 sector experts participated.
The main goals were to identify sector issues, challenges, and opportunities for solutions. Additionally, the workshops aimed to set short-term and long-term goals and an overall vision for sector development.
Stakeholders discussed their departments’ initiatives, vision, and proposed projects. Workshops followed a group discussion format, starting with an introduction to CMDA planning initiatives and an overview of the visioning process and sector development context in CMA.
Five groups in each sector covered major thematic areas. Discussions followed a Challenge Opportunity-Goal-Vision format. Each sub-thematic area produced a vision and goal board, discussed among participants.
